Collision repair is more than making a dent disappear. A modern vehicle is built to absorb a crash in a specific way, and a proper repair restores the structure, fit and finish so it looks right and protects you the way it should.
At Music City Auto Repair (Berry Hill), collision repair is our focus. We serve drivers in Berry Hill and across Nashville from our shop at 2799 Foster Ave.

What collision repair can include
- Assessing visible damage and looking for hidden damage behind panels
- Repairing or replacing fenders, doors, hoods, quarter panels and trunk lids
- Bumper cover and reinforcement repair or replacement
- Body alignment checks so doors, hood and trunk line up again
- Paint, color matching and refinishing of repaired areas
- Replacing damaged lights, grilles, trim and mirrors
Signs of damage you can’t see
Even a low-speed collision can bend brackets, crack mounting points or push components out of place. Watch for these after an accident:
- Panel gaps that are wider on one side than the other
- Doors, the hood or the trunk that are harder to close
- The vehicle pulling to one side or the steering wheel sitting off-center
- Warning lights on the dash, or parking sensors and cameras acting up
- Fluid under the front of the vehicle
If you notice any of these, mention them in your estimate request so we can look closely.
Insurance claim or paying yourself
Whether you are filing with your own insurance, the other driver’s insurance or paying out of pocket, the repair starts the same way: with a written estimate of the damage. Our insurance claims guide walks through what happens next.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to drive my car after a minor accident?
Not always. Damage behind the bumper cover can affect lights, sensors, the radiator support or crash structure. If lights, wheels, steering or anything under the hood look or feel wrong, or fluids are leaking, have the vehicle checked before driving it.
Why did my estimate change after the repair started?
Many accident repairs uncover hidden damage once panels are removed. When that happens a supplement is written for the additional work. If an insurer is involved, it reviews the supplement before that work goes ahead.
Can you give me a price from photos?
Photos help us understand the damage and plan next steps, but a final estimate usually requires seeing the vehicle in person, because damage behind panels does not show in pictures.
Do I need to go through insurance for collision repair?
No. You can pay for the repair yourself or file a claim with your insurer or the other driver's insurer. Our insurance claims page explains the difference.
How long does collision repair take?
It depends on the extent of the damage, parts availability and, for insurance claims, approval time. We will give you an expected timeline once the vehicle has been inspected.
